“Self Portrait”

9’ x 12’ canvas

Medium Used: Oil paint on  canvas

December 10, 2024

Statement:

  • The following piece is a self portrait inspired by Russian artist Victor Nizovtsev who is a fantasy artist who is famously known for illustrating children’s books. I wanted to recreate one of his works while referencing his mythical art style. This is one of my best self portraits currently.

“Planet Pandora”

18’ by 24’ canvas

Medium Used: Acrylic

September 9 2024

Statement:

Inspired by the 2009 “Avatar” film, the painting is an abstract concept of Planet Pandora's famous landscape and ecosystem. As a big fan of the Avatar films I wanted to capture the beauty of the film's setting through contemporary and abstract elements. This painting was one of the first times I actually gave abstraction and deconstruction a try and I actually had a lot of fun working with the canvas and layering the vibrant colours.

“Lavendar Bloom”

2048 x 2048 px

Medium Used: Digital Illustration via. Procreate

Statement:

This digital piece represents my own personal unique style when it comes to illustration. I wanted to highlight its feminine charm by adding a floral background.

“Marusia’s Portrait”

18’ by 24’ canvas

Medium Used: Oil Paint

 March 24 2024

Statement:

The following is a portrait of my little sister Marusia who I have a 7 year age gap with. The photo referenced for this photo is a picture I took of her in 2021 on the Toronto Islands in a butterfly garden. I thought it was a beautiful photo and wanted to challenge myself to paint it in oil paint. This was one of the first oil portraits I did.
